Leadership

In our leadership classes, the senior students from our club assume the roles of teachers in our "Magic Forest" program. Their students are young children from 5 to 9 years old. The main goal of the teachers is to inspire their student to become passionate about Russian language - their native mother tongue.

Teaching positions bring prestige, but also carry responsibilities. Not only do teachers need to know their subjects, they also need to be leaders. They need to be able to plan, motivate, manage time, resolve conflicts and put higher priorities to the interests of the group instead of their own. All these skills can be obtained and honed during our leadership classes.

Our leadership classes are held under the mentorship of the club's leader. All participation in the classes for senior students is by personal invitation only. Only students with an excellent standing and desire for teaching will be invited to teach in the Magic Forest program.

Our leadership program first started in September 2010. It has proved to be a success among both senior and junior members, so we decided to continue it.

We are grateful to all our students who participated in the leadership classes. They did a great job and we want to thank them for their effort in organizing and conducting the classes for our Magic Forest program.
